Where your secondary color is used

The secondary color sits behind headings, dividers and the quieter parts of the design. It is doing supporting work, so it wants to be closer to your background than your primary is: two strong colors fight and neither wins. If you are unsure, take a muted version of your primary. Some designs use it far more than others, so change it and look at the live site rather than assuming it did nothing.
