Deleting a page

Deleting asks you to confirm and then it is gone, along with whatever was on it. Anything linking to that address breaks, including links you have handed out and any menu item pointing at it. If you only want it off the site, take it out of the menu instead: the page stops being listed and the content survives. Delete is for a page you are certain you will never want back.
